Socioeconomic Inequalities in Nutritional Status among Women in Pakistan (SINSoW)
Trust for Vaccines & Immunization in collaboration with Aga Khan University, Karachi and University of British Colombia, Canada has conducted a secondary data analysis of the National Nutrition Survey (NNS), 2011. NNS-2011 is a nationally representative household survey conducted in all four provinces of Pakistan, FATA, Azad Jammu Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.
The research project aimed to understand the effect of household socio-economic position (SEP) and area development (village and district) on nutritional status of women by extended analysis of data from the national nutrition survey of Pakistan. The focus of this research was nutritional status of population at national level as affected by their socioeconomic status and geographic location.
